I'm still not convinced that a doll should in any way be a rolemodel for a child, surely that's the place reserved for their parents, teachers or other inspirational people that they're exposed to. I understand that more and more girls are finding glamour models their ideal, but I don't think this stems from the fact that they played with a bleach blond size zero barbie who wore skimpy clothes. The debate continues... It’s quite a strange debate, but i thought it would be worthwhile to see what other people thought of it.

I remember playing with barbies when i was younger. I had western and eastern dolls. I dont think it affected me in any way. Accept for maybe helping to instill a wharped perception of acceptable thinness in my subconcious. I dont know. Not every middle easterner or persian woman covers so maybe they should start their own line of dolls or let fulla make a few that dress with long skirts or shirts but without hijab.
